Bootcamp - Day 23

For some reason day 23 sounds special! but alas it has just been another day in the life on bootcamp Leenie. I reckon I must be a naturally lucky person. Today I got a bargain ... now boys will say if you are spending money then you cant be saving any ... but today I really did get a bargain!

Platform clothing is a fantastic designer clothing store specialising in larger sizes 14-26 I think. Anyway I love their clothing but their clothing prices are out of my league UNLESS I manage to get to their season sales! and today I got to their sale YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAA I picked up a gorgeous trenchcoat which normally retails for $329 for ... $50 ... now tell me that ISNT a bargain! It's fully lined, beautifully tailored and it'll fit perfectly still post op. It fits perfectly now around my shoulders, chest and arms, just a little snug around my belly - but of course trenchcoats are supposed to be roomy and a little bit puffy out. Very excited. I'm starting to wonder what the hell I'm going to wear post surg ... got a work clothes, but at this point in time ... no undies and no casual clothes - hehe I can just see my first shopping expedition already, I'll be wearing these hideously huge clothes looking like a raggamuffin and the shop keepers will think I'm a pauper! Should be an interesting exercise!

The other lucky thing is ... I won some money on the pokies tonight so this weekend I'm going to go buy myself a couple of night shirts, a new pair of slippers and actually I'm going to take Craig female undie shopping ....

******STOP PRESS******
I just asked Craig what type of shop we'll need to go to for my new undies and he said ... "I know what type of undies I like, but I've only ever seen them on porn sites"! FARKIN PERVVVVVVVVV woohoo lucky me LMAO!

The other interesting thing that happened to me today, was THREE people stopped and said to me "jeeeeeeeeeezzz you've lost a shit load of weight" ... obviousy 6kgs in 3 weeks is quite noticeable! LOL I know I've noticed it ... things are getting quite baggy - especially around my arse - thank god its only 2 weeks to go. I've been telling people for the last few months is just the style of clothes thats making me look slimmer, but nup ... I'm downsizing - if its not fat loss its because of muscle gain. Its funny that when I was bigger, I could lose 10kgs and people didnt even really notice it ... now that I'm getting smaller a 3kg loss is quite noticeable.

Ooh nearly forgot ... I woke up last night with a bit of a gut ache, tummy gurgling, feeling quite windy and bloated. Couldnt help myself and wanted to jump on the scales and see that magic number 7 show up again this morning, but instead I'd had a 400gm gain ... wont be jumping on those scales again before weigh day! During morning ablutions realised TOM had turned up. 5 days early! At least it wont be here during surg time YIPPEE and hopefully all my water retention will be gone and I'll have another great weigh in next week :) I said to Craig last week, it wouldnt have surprised me if TOM didnt turn up at all this month because of the stress and calorie cutback ... but nope regularly clockwork leenie strikes again.

Early night tonight - in bed with a book is well deserved I think.

Breakfast - cereal, yoghurt, trim flat white
Lunch - chicken salad wrap
Dinner - chocolate shake
Snacks - pear
Water - 2.5ltrs (oops)
Exercise - Gym cardio - 40mins + 2x 25 min walk

Hi Helena,
As I was reading todays post it occured to me that I have no clue as to what the operation will actually do in terms of actual end result. Does the surgeon actually give you a general overview about what you can expect. (ie, flat stomach, etc) Also where are all the cut lines going. Do they also advise what a realistic weight loss will be from what they remove? I would be interested to hear what the surgery will actually achieve. Given my adversion to pain I think I had blocked thinking about it, but it suddenly occured to me that I really had no clue what the operation would actually do. (have read Chris's blog and see her after pic's is yours the same) and whats the butt surgery part of it. ???????

You sound pumped hun that is fantastic. Wow 6kgs in 3 weeks that is a huge achievement woohooo you.

I totally agree that when we are bigger people don't notice much of a change. I didn't get many people noticing my loss until I had lost 20 kilos and I used to get sooo discouraged about it.
