So here I am, its Wednesday night, I'm back home, my camping holiday was the best I've ever had!
The highlights -
- We got our favourite tent site!
- Whitianga is pretty much unchanged, as is Hahei Beach - bliss!
- I've been drinking like a fish!
- The food has been out of this world - especially breakfast, lunch, dinner + icecream O'clock
- I've been wearing shorts, singlet tops, togs & a sarong! EEEEEEEEEEEEK
- I've been sea kayaking
- Craig caught fish!
- I've been to Cathedral Cove
- I've been bush walking @ Broken Hill
- The weather has been primo!
- I won a competition for purchasing Sunscreen! - $6,000 of international or nat travel!
- I've been drinking like a fish!
- I explored Hahei on foot!
- I caught up with my girlfriend
- I have a bit of a tan
- We live in a gorgeous country!
- I've been drinking like a fish!
Had a bloody fantastic sleep in our bed last night I have to say. Woke up around 6ish tho and couldnt get back to sleep. The work started straight after breakfast - car unpacked, two loads of washing, dishwasher went on, camping gear clean, cars vacuumed, grocery shopping completed, phone calls made, dogs picked up from kennels, started updating my online journal, downloaded photos, read all our mail ... whew its been all go!
Jack and Calais are happy to be home - they've had baths so they smell gorgeous, but they are moulting like crazy, I'll give them a damn good bushing tomorrow. Jack has obviously had a great time at the kennels, he's lost his voice - he cant even squeal! LOL
I've managed to polish off ANOTHER bottle of wine - had a bbq dinner and now we're just chilling out - I'm catching up on my email and stuff, Craig is watching TV - something we havent done in a couple of weeks! LOL
I'm addicted to keeping a journal obviously - I've kept a paper one while I was away, and I've uploaded it all to blogspot now ... so that in the middle of winter, when the Coromandel seems to far away, I can go and read and see the piccies and relive the great time I had.
Not sure what's in store for tomorrow.

Once again mate - sounds like you had a wonderful break. And what a great idea to keep a paper journal daily so you know what you did each day so you can just type it all in when you get home! Brilliant! :)

Pleased it all went well Helena - sounds like you had a lot of fun. Love that area - we have friends in Whitianga and spent a week up there last Easter, gorgeous beaches, laid back life.
Did I read right that you won $6,000 travel prize?
Busy now but tomorrow going to take a break and read about your holiday - LOL just as well I'm a quick reader!!
Couldn't resist it - I've had a quick read and OMG to the prize!!!
LOL at the wine bottles evaporating:)
Welcome back! sorry we could not make it down there - Stu's parents were away that weekend so it seemed silly going to visit them when they were not there. Glad you had a good time and drank like a fish.
