Day Three *tick* :)

I managed to get my butt out of bed without too much complaining this morning. Why has it got so hard all of a sudden? Is it the cooler weather? Is it because it's so dark? Next week will be interesting as the mornings will be light again! Even if only for a short time :(

Had an awesome gym workout this morning. As always was starving by the time I got to work and wolfed down my vogels and bananas. Actually I havent had a hungry day today, I didnt have any extra toast like I did yesterday. Yesterday was a hungry day ... maybe because it was day two and my body was feeling deprived after the shock of day one or something.

Everyone at work knows I'm detoxing. I read an article from the consumer magazine last night and it was about detoxing. There is no scientific proof that detoxing does anything for us. Especially people like myself who have a reasonably healthy diet from the five food groups anyway. In fact consumers magazine were actually saying those detoxes that leave out food groups ... i.e. dairy or meat (protein) are perhaps very misleading in that people think that they can detox for a couple of weeks and then eat like crap for the rest of the year!

My detox is a physical and a mental detox. The first couple of days I was feeling a little deprived - especially with the coffee thing however today I am feeling really good. Quite alive and energised. I am not hungry at all and I havent whizzed and done number two's so much in agesssssssssss. It's also get me mentally thinking about my weightloss again. I was thinking about my goals. I am going to London at the end of the year - I have to sit on a plane in the one seat for 26 hours ... that aint going to be much fun with my wide arse as it is now. Plus, HARRODSSSSSSSSSSSSS sale .... and then all the theme parks in LA ... OMG I'm like salivating at the thought of all the fun I'm going to have! and I keep thinking about much easier all that is going to be for me to accomplish if I can get back into this weightloss mode and lose another 20kg. It's 40 weeks until trip time. 500gms a week. Doable.

Eye on the prize. Eye on the prize. Eye on the Prize. Eye on the Prize!

So keeping everything in perspective - it wont happen over night but it will happen.

Had a busy day today - attended two risk review and update meetings and they absolutely mushed my brain LOL. Thankfully tomorrow I have a day at my desk and catch up with everything again.

Day 3. A good day, not hungry, was thirsty

Breakfast - 2 x vogels toast + banana
Morning tea - half a punnet of Blueberries, nuts & seeds
Lunch - 2 x vogels toast, half a tin of salmon, salad, 2 x kiwifruit
Afternoon tea - pear
Pre dinner snack *giggle* - 2x dates, 6x prunes, 6 x dried apricots
Dinner - 200gms gurnard fillets, dry roasted kumara/potatoe, salad
+ 5 bottles of water & 1 cup of lemon/ginger herbal tea + 12 detox capsules

I worked it out to be 22 points

I didn't realise I hadn't commented for ages, but I've been reading all your posts, and your holiday ones (sounds FAB) and yay for winning the $6000 - that's incredible. Your trip sounds SO SO cool, and what a great thing to spend it on!

Glad the detox is going well, and hope you feel like getting back into the swing of things soon. Sounds like you are doing great anyway, but if your heart isn't in it, it's just not the same.

The trip is a great incentive for you to aim for losing 20kg before you go!

Great going Helena with your detox and tracking - very impressive work:)
