hehe, yep tomorrow is my last day of detox! I'm not sure whether I feel elated or sad cos I have really enjoyed it. It's bought me back into focus of appreciating my food, planning meals and having the power to say ... no thats not on my list of acceptable food or no ... I dont want that. WOOHOO TO ME
So today is Detox End "Eve".
I thought I'd pull finger and get up when the alarm went off at 5 and go out for a walk ... so I did! and of course once I was out there barrelling along the footpath in the dark I had wonderful thoughts of weightloss success and weightloss control and all those wonderful endorphin feelings happening when you feel good about who you are and what you are doing. I just got home and inside the front door and down came the rain - TORRENTIAL - so it was perfect timing!
I went to weigh in today and much to my shock I had a no change. I stayed exactly the same! I was quite miffed at that at first. Here I am being extremely good, eating extremely well, getting in fantastic exercise and water and for what? no bloody change on the scales. However, I soon dispersed those negative thoughts with ... hey I stuck to my game plan for 8 days straight, I feel really good, I'm proud of the good I've done to my body and I've made a conscious decision and effort to get back on with my game plan - so I did achieve something, it just didnt happen to be on the damn scales. Bah Humbug to negative thoughts! After talking to a couple of the girls at work we came to the conclusion that yes I gave my body a damn good shake up, the food I ate was all good healthy nutrious food - remembering that salmon and nuts & seeds are naturally high in fat - a good fat, but high in fat - and this week i've probably been eating more natural fats in my diet than what i normally would have so thats perhaps why i maintained. Will be interesting to see what happens next week.
I've made the decision to go ahead with WW no count. I like the idea of having the list of good foods and I get to pick and choose what I want to eat off it. If it aint on it I have two options
1. i dont have it, or
2. i count it as points towards my 21 extra points i'm allowed each week - that will be stuff like peanut butter, wine, dried fruits & nuts - things which I normally eat but arent on the No Count food list (for obvious reasons :D)
I think the biggest things I've missed this past week has been coffee and yoghurt. I'll be bring those two things back into my diet come Thursday! Surprisingly I havent missed red meat or or cheese or sauces. I've got quite a liking for lemon juice now and I'm absolutely loving the fruit. Which all fits in great with the No Count Plan. Snacking on the No Count Plan is on fruit or veges - same as what i'm doing now! I'll also reintroduce my pork, lamb and beef, but I'm also going to stick to having fish a couple of times a week for dinner - its blimin good stuff!
The girlie roadtrip is back on for April 30 ladies. I'm posting this here cos I know you'll all read this and it will save a barage of emails flying around the countryside for the third day in a row! hehe ... Felicity it'll be great to see you in Palmy also on the 30th and bringing you back down the countryside with us to Wellington. Janine has organised it with Felicity so we'll be taking two cars up - it's going to be quite the lil get together! I'll email everyone again closer to the time, but in essence my original plan for 30 April stands - only difference we'll be taking two cars and bringing two extra people back to Wellington with us! *whew* Ooh and I understand we get to meet Jo's mum too! How blimin cool! Palmy wont know what's hit it!
WW meeting today was about retrying foods that perhaps we didnt like as a child however we should give them another go as our tastes might have changed. The general concensus at the meeting was that once you had a distaste for broadbeans, swede, brussel sprouts and turnips - it aint gunna change LOL
I spoke to our travel agent today. Wow ... those vouchers we won are JUST going to cover the airfares ... I've got some serious SERIOUS saving to do. No new wardrobes for me this year, no bling, no gorgeous things ... back to basics after all a girl cant go without makeup and hairdos ... (thank god I found boots before this happened!) LMAO speaking of which I pick them up tomorrow I'm so freakin excited ... I'll post pics tomorrow night *cracking up* hey this is a very serious, glorious, happy day for me ... the first time ever in my life ... REAL BOOTS *dreamy sigh* teehee

That's great about the date changing (LOL again)!
Good luck with the no count plan - also well done on such positive thoughts despite the scales - you are probably right about the nuts and salmon and I'm sure you are going to get the results you want!!
Exciting about the boots!!!
