Tuesday, 28 February

Another active day in paradise! It's supposed to be chill out time - relax, sit back, do nothing - just laze around ... those days are over! LOL Yes we can laze around with the bset of them, but after a couple of hours that gets boring ... bet my attitude will change after a couple of days LOL.

Didnt get out of bed until 7 this morning (see its happening already). Bed was much better - really inflated it last night. It got bloody cold last night - I kept cuddling up to my man to get warm *grin*. We also got woken up a couple of times by crying preschoolers. One in a tent right behind us. Another in a tent across the raod from us. Actually - the kids in the tent behind us are starting to drive us a little nuts. There are four kids between two families camping together. The two little girls about 2.5/3yrs old are right little winge bags - all they seem to do is cry and scream!?!?!? ... ALL THE TIME! They would make perfect shark bait LOL In fact I even overheard one of the "daddies" saying something about taking them up the bush and leaving them there LMAO! Probably explains why the two "daddies" buggered off and went fishing ALL day yesterday and left the mummies to put up with the noise. How could that possibly be a relaxing holiday for mums? Anyway enuff about screaming skulls.

So ... no walk this morning. I had all good intentions of going out sea kayaking while Craig fished but it was a bit windy and chilly so I decided to go back to bed after my coffee while he went fishing - I'm truely a dedicated athlete eh? teehee

After breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, toast and PB we decided we would walk Cathedral Cove. The weather - whyile warm looked like it might rain. I made sandwiches, packed some fruit, water, towels & camera into the backpack and off we went. Now this walk is very exciting for me. We have been coming to Hahei Beach for 7 years and I have NEVER been to Cathedral Cove. Why??? because its a walk - hilly, steep - EXERCISE! Up until now I havent been fit enough to even contemplate the walk - but today I did it. It was beautiful! - The Cathedral is a natural rock formation caused by sea erosion - u can only walk through it @ low tide to get to the beautiful beach on the other side. We stayed for a few hours - having lunch, swimming, laying on the beach, watching people, kayakers etc - carefully soaked up some rays. I got some gorgeous photos of the cathedral when I took my camera into the water! The walk back was a little more challenging - it was all up hill! Today we did 2.5 hours walking if you include our ritual walk to the icecream parlour! We also had two swims - that makes about 3 hours of exercise today! My lilly white arms are starting to colour slowly - little by little otherwise it is just burn and peel! Nibbles this afternoon is cheese, crackers, gherkins and salsa.

I've finished off my wine left over from lastnight - a whole glass *blush* and topped myself up with some bourbies *wink*. I got a bit trollied last night- thank god Craig was cooking! LMAO tonight it is butter chicken and rice - bless Mr Patak. Oh and surprise surprise I am STARVING!

The campervans are starting to turn up for the evening. It's great fun sitting here drinking, nibbling and watching all the foreigners turning up trying to find their "sacred site" for the night LOL My mate Sandie from AKL joins us tomorrow night for a few days - cant wait to see her.

Gee I smell pretty - I love my afternoon showers!
