My legs are huge!!!!!!!!

Crikey all the swelling has really come out in my legs now. My upper legs from just above my knees up to my thighs are hugggggggggeeeeeeeee, now I know they are huge cause I can feel my knees rubbing together when I walk and I havent had that feeling for years LOL The backs of my legs are also incredibly black from bruising - its apparently from a surgical instrument they insert from thigh to knee which separates the skin from the fat so that can pull it all up ... oopsala, sorry if you were eating your breaky when you read that LOL See I must be bored, I'm turning into a gore freak and usually that kinda stuff just makes my skin crawl.

My skin is really dry, really dry. I can quite reach down to my legs at the moment, so I can only moisturise my arms and shoulders, but I put 7 lots of Intensive Care on my arms yesterday and it just soaked it up!

I watched the TV3 Inside NZ doco last night ... "What's really in our food". It's along the same lines of lots of research I was reading late last year/early this year. It's one of the reasons I dont have too many issues going back to basic whole foods and cutting out the processed crap. The chemicals that go into processed food is incredible and it absolutely makes sense why as a race we seem to be getting sicker and sicker - all the toxins the average person consumes on a daily basis is incredible. Thats why detoxing isnt a bad idea - not as a weight loss solution, but more of a clean your system out. My "bible" (Eat Move and Be Healthy- Paul Chek) and "new testament" (The Metabollic Typing Diet - William Wolcott) absolutely supported whole foods that didnt use additives, colours, flavourings etc etc - makes sense, I can fully understand why some kids are off the richter these days! But its all education aye, we only know what we only know and sometimes its a bit late when we learn these things! :(

I think the thing that hit home the most from last nights programme was the guy that talked about the "modern supermarket" he said ... that if you closed up a supermarket for a hundred years, when you reopened it a hundred years down the track, apart from the fresh food sections - bakery, fruit and meat - most of the food in packets in the aisles will still be completely edible due to all the chemicals that are stablising the food. ewwwwwwww reminds me of those McDonalds experiments where they keep cheeseburgers for 15 years and they still looked perfect!

Anyway it looks like a shitty day out there today! Dont feel so guilty about sitting on my arse and watching telly today LOL - Slept really well again last night - its true the Lazyboy and I are one! The lazyboy has found its soulmate - Leenie the Lazygirl LOL

Got a couple of mates popping round today - woohoo! One for morning tea and one for lunch - gave Mum the day off :) bless her heart, even at 75 she has to look after a needy kid LOL - Motherhood really is forever :)

Legs sound gross mate.... have you tried elevating them to relieve the tension in them and drain the fluid! Get Craig to help you onto the floor and put ya legs up on the couch... for a good hour.... makes watching telly kinda impossible, but I find it helps! I did watch that programme for a while... but they kept on about what makes Diet Coke "diet" so I kinda switched off... I can't live without me diet coke, and am deaf to it's evilness!!! I know it's bad for me, I KNOW, but so is milk according to the experts now! Everything is evil it seems. Hope you have a lovely day with ya lazyboy... and telly.

Snap - I find a bit in a book I'm readin that if you want to eat healthy, just to go around the perimeter of the supermarket and not down ANY aisles. I survived Day 1 with a lot less carbs and a huge variety of food (and enjoyed every mouthful). I'm going to get the "bible" out again.

Enjoy your lazy day - won't be long and you will be tearing around the footpaths and gym again!

We ended up turning over to watch the rest of that show and it was very scary, makes you think eh?

Sorry to hear your legs are more swollen and bruised but in about 3 months you are NOT going to recognise them because they are going to look so FAB-U-LISOUS! (yes that is a word!).

Enjoy your visitors.
