Mums Bday Party

Had such a lovely day today.

Started off with a bit of a lay in, I didnt get up until 8:30! Then pottered around here for a bit before starting to get myself organised to go out for Mum's bday lunch. There were about 25 of us for lunch - unfortunately my oldest brother didnt make it out from Oz in the end, but the five of us were here with mum for her 75th. She got a lovely surprise as some of her brothers and sisters from out of town were there. They are all getting older now (70's and 80's) so its lovely to get them together when the occasion arises! So below is my family - Rob from Oz, Rich, Mum , Kris from Oz, Me and Dot. Rob is the second oldest and I'm the youngest, Richard is next after me and then my two sisters Kris and Dot.

I felt pretty good today, the antibiotics are kicking in already - the heat and redness is fading so thats all good. Had a big meal for lunch and I'm only just getting a bit peckish now so will go and have a sammie I think. Craig and I have the house to ourselves tonight, our house guests are out visiting friends and us and the dogs are relaxing in front of the telly with the fire roaring! bliss!

Tomorrow is going to be a fun day, Jo and Jenny are popping round in the morning and I have work friends popping round in the arvo. My family all go home on Tuesday - will be sad to see them go but will be nice to have some quiet time again :)
