Slept in!

I slept in until 8:30am this morning! far out! I woke up really groggy thinking wonder what the time is? LOL This morning Craig and I had planned to go push bike riding and then clean out the fish pond - a bi-annual event which we both DO NOT enjoy, but something that needs to be done.

So I got up and found Craig already in the garden, we decided to go out for an hours riding - went from home to Moonshine bridge and back again - just on an hour up the riverbank - its always fun, my quads were screaming by the time I got home.
Then it was breakfast and straight into the garden. Our pond is about 4 x 4 mtrs and about 3ft deep (love my use of metric and imperial there) so it takes a while to drain. The bottom was deep in sludge and the fish were bloody hard to catch because you couldnt see them, even though they are bright orange! However, we finally got them put into a bucket and by 1:15pm we were refilling the pond after its waterblasting and sponging down. It always looks so lovely when you can see the fish. We counted 30 orange fish and 4 black ones. Some of them are so pretty!

Calais and Jack were bloody hopeless, every time we threw out a bucket of sludge or a handfull of leaves they'd be right in the mess, picking out leaves to take away and chew ... they are so gross those two. Even so, my beautiful girl is such a sweetie I cant help but give her a cuddle even when shes covered in slime!

After I had a clean up I felt like I needed a bit of a break, so hopped on Trude and popped up and saw Rachel for a cuppa green tea and a natter. Her boys are so funny, Reece seems so independent running around with his mate, and Adam didnt wanna miss out on the girlie talk! LOL So after we put all the worlds wrongs to right I shot off back home, shoved a chook in the oven for dinner and took Jack out for a walk. We were out for an hour and home just in time to put the veges in the steamer.

So today was a mixture of work and play - didnt get any study done, hmmmmmmm.

Thanks for your comments yesterday everyone, I really am happy - I'm happy because I feel in control of whats happening in my life. I feel like I'm doing stuff for me because I want to and not because I should and I'm not trying to please 100 different people every second of the day - home (including Craig) is my haven and the weekends whizz past too damn fast to waste time thinking "maybe I should or why dont I or I wish I could" probably explains why I usually sleep so damn well LOL

Food:
Breakfast - cereal, seeds, yoghurt, peaches, piece of molenberg, peanut butter (damn I was hungry this morning!)
Lunch - 4 cruskits, vegemite, peanut butter, apple
Dinner - roast chicken (leg, thigh & wing!), cauliflower, brocolli, green beans, gravy
Snacks - green tea, 6 hazelnuts
Water - 3ltrs

She's gorgeous!

And the fish pond looks great! I bet it's a yuck job as you said, I used to even hate cleaning out a small fish bowl.

So you, me and Kate are doing the late night blog rounds aye??

He he he

I have a mate that is just like you 6 ft, tiny top and big in the hips, arse and thighs. She looks great with colour on top and black pants. She wears a lot of short jackets but she doesn't really have that tummy roll. I agree re the v necks, they are very flattering.
