Confusion Reigns

Sounds like I didnt explain myself to well eh?

Ok see the pic below ... the chick has one hand up in the air, but if you imagine being on all fours on the ground ... just replicate that on top of a swiss ball ... um ... wow - takes alot of strength and concentration to stop the ball from rolling around under you!

This morning at the gym, I managed to balance for a whole Tom Petty song! LOL so about 3 minutes. Very proud of that one! Even Craig commented about me being pretty smart LOL

The next one I'm going to try is just kneeling on the ball, and balancing ... these are advanced swiss ball exercises, so if you give this a go, make sure there is someone around so you dont arse off and break something!

My mate at work was saying if you squeeze your glutes and hammies and abs you should be able to stablise yourself so as not to arse off! Pretty cool huh?

Had a bloody fantastic day at work today. A couple of great meetings and an awesome workshop with a colleague - itsnt it great when a plan comes together? :D

Food has been good, again there was no temptation to dive into the caramel slice or peanut brownie cookies provided for afternoon tea, my couple of pieces of rockmelon suffice ... ok I'm starting to scare myself now! LOL

Ok now here is a bleat about takeaway foods. Today in between meetings I decided to go to subway and grab a chicken salad - no bread, just one of their infamous salads. I had a roast chicken fillet, a few slices of ham, lettuce, cucumber and green capsicum with a drizzle of honey mustard sauce. Grabbed a bottle of pump water also ... ok so basically a chicken salad and a bottle of water ... it cost me $12.40 ... excuse me but that is ridiculous. Now you see McDonalds are now advertising a deli roll, two big macs, two large fries and two cokes for $12 ... hmmm to the average consumer who wants "bang for their buck" what do you think they would choose ... a huge meal or a healthy salad? In the old days, I know what I would have opted for. The consumer dollar for food is getting so competitive that fast food companies like McDonalds and Burger King are making their foods cheaper and cheaper hoping to appeal to anyone who has a few bucks to spare. Disgusting marketing which again sucks in societies youth - the result - the obesity epidemic. How can it be possible to manufacture burgers and fries cheaper than salad? I dont understand how processing food until its unrecognisable is a cheaper option that chopping up vegetables fresh out of the fields? It appalls me ... my boycott of fast food chains remains steady. But then that poses the question ... is Subway considered fast food in the context I'm referring to?

Welcome on board Roz!

Food:
Breakfast - cereal, banana, yoghurt, seeds
Lunch - subway salad - roast chicken and ham with honey mustard dressing, banana
Dinner - fresh fish gurnard oven baked with pesto, salad
Snacks - three slices of rockmelon, 6 vitawheats with peanut butter, stick of licorice

Thanks for showing the swiss ball stuff, I popped back on here just to see if you would! ha ha. Subway is NOT a fast food outlet as far as I'm concerned cos they give you the choice of what you are getting, and it's all fresh on the spot.. you can SEE that! McDonalds are EVIL EVIL places!

I agree with Chris h about subway, its NOT fast food.

WOW you really did the 'on all 4's' on the swiss ball? That looks really hard if you ask me.

Can't wait to hear how you went with Hamish this week, you are so going to lose what you want and MORE by September - I just know it.

Great control being able to do the swiss ball exercise.

Have to agree about McD's but guess where we took the grandkids today! I opted for Chicken Salad - interesting experience and will be the last time I eat there. Catch my blog and see.
