I bought this gorgeous leather look jacket off Trademe. Often when you look at photos you think, yeah that looks ok but really you arent sure what condition things are going to turn up like. Well I bought this jacket it ... it turned up yesterday and I was really impressed, it looks like brand new, it really looks like leather, its heavy like leather and its fully lined, fits great, looks great and even the sleeves are long enough ... all for ... $8 (plus P&P) ... eight bucks? I couldnt believe it WOOHOO FOR ME! I also had a skirt turn up yesterday too which is gorgeous and oh god I cant wait to get back to work just to wear all my lovely new clothes! LOL
The district nurse popped round this morning. Different one to yesterday, today's nurse Leigh was lovely too! It's a small world, but her girlfriend is undergoing the same op as me this coming Monday with John as well! This lady is having the surgery not due to weightloss but due to having 5 babies and really bady body image/self esteem issues. Way to go I say - good on her, although I wouldnt like to go through recovery with five kids screaming around the place! LOL Leigh was really impressed at the operation recovery process, was quite amazed at how quickly you could be up and around and scars healing after such extensive surgery - she was going home to tell her girlfriend about me LOL Leigh will be back tomorrow morning for new dressings. I had a slight leak overnight in my back dressing, but just stuck a facecloth over it and this morning didnt wake up with mucky bedclothes or undergarments - what a relief! I had a terrible nights sleep, woke up stiff as a board this morning as I consciously try not to roll over onto my back or sleep on the wound side.
I cant shower at the moment as the dressings arent waterproof, so this morning I had to give myself a really good facecloth wash and wash my hair in the kitchen sink LOL it takes me alot longer to get going and ready in the mornings with this new routine thats for sure.
However, its just a matter of time ... and things will be back to normal.

Love it when you grab a bargain. Just how I felt with my wedding dress.
Woo hoo for the Trademe bargins! AS for the continuing saga with ya wounds, hang in there girl, it can only get better.
I really admire people that can get a bargain like that. I'm not that good on Trade Me but I can sniff out a special at a thousand paces.
I'm really glad things are being attended to with the wound and having a nurse come in daily has to be a huge relief for both you and Craig.
I'm also pleased you got another week off work. the more time given to the healing process the better.
