Successful Shopping :)

I finally got hold of some work pants yesterday. At PostiePlus of all places. They are the stretchy bengaline type pants which dont have a waistband as such. I actually tried a pair of pants with a waistband on yesterday, they fitted perfectly around my tush and hips, but the waistband was about 5cms too short to do up, goes to show how much swelling there still is - either that or I am in twubble further down the track! :o I tried on size 20's and 18's - the 18's won woohoo they really are a perfect fit and incredibily they are the perfect length too - thats my main problem with pants. So I bought two pairs - slightly different cuts, but both black long leg pants - in the past I've always made the mistake of buying something and loving it so much that I wear it out within months - especially something so essential as a pair of black pants!

On my way into the surgeons yesterday I also popped in to Ezibuy in Thorndon Quay, I bought three tailored work shirts (white, coral and blue) which were only $19.95 each. They are gorgeous and fit beautifully because they are cut in through the waist and hip area, they are also shorter than what I'm used to and sit right on the hip - will look fantastic with my new black pants! :) - god I am so loving not having rolls any more! It's not until I start wearing styles like this that I realised it wouldnt have mattered how much weight I lost, my body shaped sucked!

I'm feeling a bit teary today, I'm blaming TOM and just disappointed that my wound has broken down but I'll get over it :) Craig changed all my dressings this morning and I saw the extent of the clean out John gave the wounds ... YUCKKY is all I can say :( LOL Poor Craig didnt want breakfast this morning. That man deserves a gold medal!

Hi ya,
Have just caught up on all your posts.
Sounds like you had a lovely time with your family at your mothers birthday. I didn't realise you had so many siblings. For some reason I thought you just had one brother and one sister.
As I was sitting reading the birthday thread I couldn't help but think 'man, this blogging is really cool, you get to learn so much about a person and unlike 'normal' friendships, the info seems to come out over a long period of time so you always feel you are learning lots of new things about people all the time'.

Ok, that was a bit of a random thought, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

Yep, I agree Craig deserves a medal. I don't know many males who cope very well with the gory stuff (myself included unfortunately).
As you say, this latest little bug is just a small glitch in a MUCH bigger picture and nothing that can't be fixed with a little more time and the right medication.

Love Lynise's comment re finding tidbits about people over a long period of time. It's like a gift that just keeps giving.

I'm glad you are feeling good and confident.

Craig loves you, he'll get over it.

I remember have a bleed out after bleeding big time everywhere at 5am in the morning, jumped in shower and when I got out Blair had gotten up, lit the fire and placed towels from the bathroom to the fire so i could get there with ease. It's moments like this that you know that you have found somebody who loves you unconditionally.
