A long short weekend

Managed to cram quite a bit of stuff into my weekend! Yippee!

It was a dreary Saturday morning, so I didnt go out walking, instead had a vet appointment, electrolysis appointment, kitchen appointment (made a HUGE stockpot of Leek and Potatoe Soup), house appointment (i.e. housework yuck), shopping appointment for a swiss ball and then on to skating! Managed to stay upright this week with - plenty of thrills, thankfully no spills! I picked up Mum on the way home and she came over for dinner and watched the rugby. Was quite good thinking on my part, instead of inhaling a whole bottle of Merlot I just had a couple of glasses 'cos I had to drop her home again after the game! good thinking Leenie!

I stuck to points yesterday (half a point over) so all is good on that front. This morning I had a real longggggggggggg sleep in - didnt get out of bed until 10ish! Then took Jack out for an hours walk - home for brunch - oats, vogels with banana and jam/peanut butter - filled me up for the whole day! Spent this afternoon playing on the puter - had a virus come in last night but I think all is well and my scanner got rid of it. Managed to coerce Craig into coming with me and Jack up Ecclesfield Reserve. I'd heard its a bit of a hill climb so of course never one to miss a challenge we set off just after 3. It's only just down the road so about 5 mins walk to get to the entrance gate, then off we climbed - not tooo strenuous but enough to get a sweat up and the heart going. Got home 40 mins later - it was fun, and even though the weather wasnt great, it was nice to get out into the bush and fresh air. Jack loved it. The pic above is the lookout at the top - overlooks our street, cant quite see our house for some trees - didnt feel we'd climbed that high! Pic of Craig and Jack just walking back down through the bush.

But right now its time to go put the roast chicken on, I think I'll also have a nice long bath! I bought my laptop home from work with all good intentions but I really cant be arsed - I should cos it will take some pressure off during the week, but ah fuck it - the world wont fall over if I dont do any prep - it hasnt so far

Just got a txt from my sisterinlaw - my brother in Ozzie is now the Brisbane area Handicap Champ for 10 pin bowling and is playing in the open championships this afternoon WOOHOO! OMG just got another txt saying he won by 200 pins! YEEHAAAAAAAAAA

Update ...

While I was putting the roast chicken on I also remember about the swiss ball! I picked one up from The Warehouse - it was $17. Got it home, finally blew it up today and then read the instructions that it has a max load of 100kg ... hmmmmmmmmm add me, plus by 6kg weights and we could have a bloody loud explosion on our hands! LMAO! I've been jumping around on it and it seems to be ok so far ... so far ... LOL I did some ab crunches, both sitting on it and laying down with it tucked under my knees and omg I felt the burn. I havent been to the gym for nearly a month now and I miss it SOOOOOOOOOO BADDDDDDDDDDD. I've been really big and brave and not whining my arse off about it, but jeez I've missed it. It's not so much the going and doing its the feel after of having a really good workout is what I miss. That muscle fatigure in the shower that tells me I've had a bloody good work out ... the unable to walk to two days afterwards, the stinky gym clothes that sit in my bag all day and get emptied out at night lol ... I miss it.
