Sunday Sunday

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day! A true summer scorcher. We'd talked ages ago about going to the races (Wgtn Cup) but decided against it, instead we put $50 into the TAB account and watched the races at home. Got off to a flying start winning at $130 quinella in the first race! Set us up for the day really :)

I started with a walk first thing, came home and did all my housework, some grocery shopping in prep for my Girls Big Brunch Out and then did some cooking in the afternoon. It was so blimin hot I walked around most of the day in my sarong and singlet top - in prep for our summer holiday to Hahei beach! WOOHOO

Last night we went to a pub for a drink with my friend Sarah for her birthday, it wasnt a late night and we were home by 10:30 - needed an early night cos today was going to be a busy one!

I was up at 6:30 and decided to do a walk instead of a bike ride purely from a timing perspective, because I had the girls coming round at 10:00am.

Only one girlie pulled out last minute, otherwise there was 13 of us here, with Craig our chef on the bbq. We had allllllllllllllllllllsorts of yummy things - muesli, yoghurt, fresh tropical fruit, english muffins, crumpets, toast, hashbrowns, chicken bacon, breakfast sausages, grilled tomatoes & mushrooms WOOHOO. Every seemed to enjoy themselves, I thoroughly enjoyed myself as one of my friends brought round a couple of bottles of lindeaur and some prenzels schnapps - so we got stuck into some champagne cocktails - hey I didnt have to drive anywhere! They went down rather smoothly and before I knew it I must have drunk about 6 of the bloody things and then everyone started drifting off home. Jo got a snap of me, her and Karen, I hope I dont look too pissed in them LMAO!

The weather today was weird, it started off all misty around the hills, but very still - not a breath of wind. The mist burnt off around midday but the wind got up - at least it didnt rain and we were able to be outside in the fresh air (prolly explains why I felt a bit tiddly - had nothing to do with the champagne cocktails of course).

Hmmmmmmmm so I ate quite a bit today - but boy do I have some really cool friends :) What a cool day.
