Calais is booked for her operation on 9 May. She'll stay on painkillers until then. She's bouncing around like a wee puppy now that she is painfree. I felt a pang of guilt for leaving her in pain for so long - a lesson learnt for me ... even though the two visits to the vet didnt seem to think it was too serious - next time she goes straight in for xrays! Thanks so much for everyones lovely comments and support and welcome to a couple of new faces! :)
I was so caught up in the emotion of dog woes on Tuesday, that I didnt even post that I'd had a 600gm loss so I exceeded my weekly goal of 500gms :) yay
Wednesday was a great day at work, a desk day without too much drama. Only drama was that I ate ... and ate ... and ATE! By dinner time I'd worked out I'd eaten 30pts worth of food - that wasnt included dinner! ARGHHHHHH ... thankfully I'd worked out at the gym that morning, plus I had a brisk walk with Jo in the evening. I popped round to Karens also after my walk and had a good natter, working through the strategy for Sat/Sun - the duathlon. Pickin her up at 6:45am on Sunday morning WOOHOO ... that'll learn her. *wink*
Thursday was another quiet day at work, just a desk day to get things cleared away for Easter.
I met Hamish mid afternoon and I got my new programme. Very exciting. I requested he go easy on me as I didnt want to be sore for my duathlon! LOL He has a different philosophy to Bruce. Hamish is into "kinetics"? which is about core body movement. He says there are 7 core body movements we make - pushing, pulling, sitting down, standing up, walking, ummmmmmmmm lifting and erm ... something else. All of these things are done using more than one muscle at a time. So his exercises are around strengthening your core and moving more than just one muscle while doing it - its not isolated muscle movement like what I have been doing ... i.e. bicep curls or chest presses. So it was really interesting and I'll put it to the test next Wednesday I guess!
We ended up at the Club after work. Caught up with friends and before we knew it - it was 11:00pm! LOL I managed to control myself and stuck to three glasses of wine, but I did have a burger and chips for dinner. hmmmmmmmmm
This morning I was up early and out walking with Jack. Popped up to Mum's and did the grouting on the tiles. Home, housework, lunch, online grocery shopping and now we are getting organised to go out to a mates place for bbq and evening out.
YIPPEEEEEEEEEE ... apart from TOM turning up today ... ahhhhhhh explains my hungry day the other day ;)

Core strengthening sounds alot like pilates exercises. That's what they focus on. Congratulations on weights loss and glad Calais is feeling better.
Have a good Easter.
