yeah baby, way too hot *grin*
Bloody 'ell its Sunday night, 9:00pmish and I still need to get through the bath. I've had a fantastic time with my exercise for about the last week and a half. I'm all fired up and have all this energy that just needs to be burnt! It's quite a cool feeling.
Friday was gym day, I did a pure cardio session. I was stuck in a workshop ALLLLLLLLL day so I was brain dead come late Friday afternoon.
We met up with a mate at the Parrot and Jigger pub in Petone as he'd got us a couple of free tickets to 2hot2handle - the car show in Wellington this weekend. Of course us being the petrolheads we are, couldnt turn the free tickets down!
Sat morning I was up early and out walking. We caught the train into town, had a coffee at TRAX pub and then wandered up to the show at the Stadium. We saw the first session drag racing which was pretty cool. Bought back lots of memories of when Craig and I were first going out together and we used to go up to Thunderpark Raceway in Hastings for the drag racing. I was "one of the boys" and basically it was weekends of drunken, petrolhead heaven LOL
There were some incredibly interesting sights to behold. There usually are when there are huge crowds of people. I'm sure some young (and not so young) ladies dont actually have a look in a mirror before they walk out their front doors. What is it about fat chicks that they have to show off all their flabby bits in the hope that in their own mind it makes them appear slimmer? Hideous. This isnt about having the opportunity to "be yourself" this is about your own personal pride and dignity ... or am I just being prudish? I love to dress sexy with the best of them, I "think" or like to think that I play up my best bits and downplay my not so best bits -there is a difference between looking sexy and looking trampy. In saying that, young men dont seem to make much of an effort these days either ... what is wrong with washing your hair and clothes for godsake? I would swear you could smell them before you saw them.
So, the show was ok. Glad the tickets were free because it wouldnt have been worth the $25 each otherwise. We caught a mid afternoon train home and parked up for the evening with a free movie courtesy of SKY. Mr and Mrs Smith. Hmmmmm .... corny.
This morning it was up early again and I went out for a walk, it really wasnt cycling weather and I only got as far as the Video store opposite St Pats and the rain came bucketing down. My knight in shining armour came and rescued me, thankfully, because it would have been tragic to have melted away when I only have a week to go before the Duathlon.
We spent the morning up at Mum's tiling her porch/entranceway. Next weekend we go back and grout. I think she's pretty pleased with the results, she must be cos she fed us lunch! Yay for Mum's :)
We met friends at the Club for the afternoon, had a couple of glasses of wine and a good catchup as we havent seen them since Craig's birthday! Talk about busy busy. That was 8 blimin weeks ago! 8 weeks since my Tri!
Got home around 5 and I was on edge, I felt fired up, so I took Jack out for a walk. He's such a good boy on the lead but he pisses around ... literally. It seems like it takes me twice as long when I have to drag his sorry arse behind me. LOL However, mission accomplished and I felt really good for going out and burning off that alcohol LOL
Another busy week, but thankfully a short one! YAY!

I know what you mean about how some people dress - LOL here I am trying to hold it all in and others seem to be letting it all hang out!
