I'm not sloshing! LOL actually I'm just quite used to drinking my water. What I tend to do is drink 1 bottle in the morning before lunch ... 1 bottle after lunch between dinner and then one bottle after dinner before bed ... that works out to 3.75ltrs ... then I have to odd top up here and there and it rounds out to about 4 ltrs a day give or take half a litre ... dont forget I dont drink anything else now ... no coke, coffee, lemonade, cordial ... nothing else ... just water and maybe a herbal tea a day. I'm finding it quite easy. I drink the water tap temperature, not out of the fridge - it takes me longer to drink when its too cold. As for getting rid of it ... I'm over the running to the loo every five minutes, now I go probably once every couple of hours and its for a reasonably longggggggggggggg time LOL I've stopped getting up in the middle of the night to piddle now I just have a longggggggggggggggg time on the loo when I first get up - I some times wonder if the flow is ever going to stop! lmao ... so there you have it ... what goes in MUST come out. Have noticed I dont have any water retention - around the ankles or fingers - so things must be working just fine. As for the 5 ltrs the other day, I was just extra thirsty I think. I carry my big bottle with me in my handbag, to the shops ... everywhere and I seem to be continuously slogging away at it - good stuff.
CHEK's philosophy on water says that for normal hydration, determine your bodyweight in kilos divide by 0.033 = how much water to drink in litres per day - more if you are exercising for experiencing higher temperatures. Water's chief functions are to "maintain a stable environment inside and around our cells, allowing us to acquire sufficient nutrition and aiding elimination of waste in cells". Our bodies are made up of 75% water, therefore water assists in keeping the key organs working well as well as getting rid of waste and toxins from our bodies. Water should always be filtered or sourced from natural springs to avoid contaminants.
Anyway, drink whatever the hell you want - just make sure you know what you are drinking and what effect it has on your weightloss journey and your body! Unfortunately as much as I love to kid myself ... red wine cannot be a substitute for water *sigh*
So today, was a wonderful day off, another beautiful sunny day in the capital! Craig and I went shopping this morning, got a new toaster and duvet inner for camping - it gets bloody cold up there at night. Then this afternoon it was out with my mum and sister to Mega Mitre 10 for corn fritters and a little wander around. Headed over to Eastbourne and had an icecream down Petone foreshore. Bloody brilliant! - thats the life.
Tomorrow is going to be a BIGGGGGGGGGGG day ... cant wait to tell you all about it tomorrow night *wink*
Food
Breakfast - branflakes, milk, banana, seeds
Lunch - cornfritters, raspberry/vanilla tea (bloody nice!)
Dinner - steak, kumara, salad, quarter corn cob
Snacks - Tropical Snow - Low fat Icecream, 10 rice crackers, salsa
Water - 4ltrs
by the way, I read the label on the icecream - despite it being "98% fat free" the bloody thing contained 4.5 teaspoons of sugar in it ... DONT BE FOOLED! - not to mention all the additives, colourings, preservatives and god knows what else - no wonder kids these days are bouncing off the walls ... why do we feed them that shit?
Colourings, preservatives, additives and sugars are a whole nother story ... I'll share my learnings about those at some stage, it'll make us all head for the hills and hide out in caves living off rainwater for the rest of our lives - yeah right.
