Day of Rest?

Last week at work was awesome. I only had a few meetings and plenty of time to get my feet under my desk - which means I got to clean up heaps of stuff and get some blimin work done!

After work on Friday we popped up the club for a drink and ended up having dinner. Did well again, had my vegetarian tortila stack and a spinach/ricotta roll - fanbloodytastic it was. The club had a TAB night where they had all sorts of prizes and things. One of the competitions was where peoples names got drawn out of a hat and they had to get dressed up in speights gear - pants, jacket, beanie, gloves - racing the clock. Well it turned into a blimin striptease act almost - blokes with beer bellies stripping down to their jocks trying to beat the clock. Fastest time was 19 seconds. Wouldnt have minded if they were hot bods! One way to lose your dinner real fast LMAO

Saturday was a cool day. We decided no housework or chores today, lets have some fun with the fantastic weather! So Craig went out on his motor bike for a couple of hours and I took Jack out for a mammoth walk. We left here and went up Fergy Drive to my mums Place in Trentham, had a cuppa tea, took off down Moonshine Road into Moonshine Park then walked back down the riverbank to Silverstream and up to home. Jack the little bastard did a runner on me. I let him off the lead for a bit in the park and he took off for the water. I went looking for him and after about 10 minutes missing in action he showed up about 500mtrs down the riverbank playing with another dog. Funnily enough there was another owner just like me looking for his dog too! By the time we finally got our dogs back and safely on leads again Jack was soaked through and covered in mud. Lesson for Leenie - hes staying firmly on a lead for ever more! So by the time we got home we'd be out for about 2 and a half hours - of which we walked about 2 hrs of it and covered about 12kms I would think. It was quite exhilerating!

I had a quick shower and shot down for my electrolysis appointment and also found out she does pedicures for about $30! thats my next goal - when I get to 115 I'm going to treat myself to a pedicure WOOHOO! one hour of pampering bliss YAY! My feet deserve it, I am so hard on them and like anything you dont realise just how dependent you are on them until something goes wrong - like a blister or sore toe or something.

I got home just in time to quickly shove a ham sammie down my gullet and take off to skating! Had another absolute fantastic workout. I felt a bit like a machine a few times, bit like the energiser bunny I just kept going and going and going. Worked up a fantastic sweat and turned bright pink in the process WOOHOO!It was great to see Jo, Chris and wee Rhian today and Karen graced us with her presence for a bit too!

So after skating it was home again, pork schnitzel, baked spuds and steamed veg for tea before shooting out to Fraser Park to watch a couple of mates of mine, Liz & Sarah, play hockey! I've never seen a real life hockey game before LOL. I'd caught up with Sarah during the week and she mentioned they were playing on Sat night and I'd been mulling it over and thought I wouldnt mind going to see that! LOL I asked Craig if he'd like to go and he said yeah - so that was that. It wasnt too cold thankfully and we went round to Liz's place afterwards for a glass of red and some nibbles to watch the delayed coverage of the All Blacks vs Ireland game. I had too many nibbles *rolls eyes* I'm such a glutton, cant resist those things, my own fault, I took round the red wine, chippies and peanuts LMAO!

So we didnt get home until 11:30! - I suddenly realised I was absolutely buggered, I'd been on the go non stop since 9 in the morning LOL - four hours of it being pure exercise! Needless to say I slept like a log and got out of bed around 8:30 this morning. I've completed my housework, ordered my groceries, read some journals, wrote some emails, had my breakfast and already thinking about making my Leek and Potato soup for lunch LOL I have a loaf of wholemeal bread going for it in the breadmaker as I type! YUMMO! I'd like to get out for a good walk this arvo - weather looks like its caving in though. Bloody windy out there and theres some real dark clouds coming over. The thought of putting the fire on, smooching up on the couch with a movie or a book is tempting ... VERY TEMPTING. However, I am determined for another loss on Tuesday and I need to focus on that! A walk will only take an hour, then I can spend three hours blobbing on the couch without guilt!

I am going to get on my swiss ball today. I AM! Was saying to Jo yesterday that going to the gym is so structured for me and I love that, but having the stuff at home its like ... oh yeah I'll get to it in an hour, tonight, tomorrow ... and never do!!!!!!!!
