Into ANOTHER week!

Trude is fabuloussssssssssssssssssssssssss. She just hums and although I've only ever ridden a bike four times in my life now ... I'm hooked!

This weekend was completely full on. Went to the gym first thing on Saturday morning, worked my arse off and sweat bucketloads *again*. I have this thing about if I'm in town, I HAVE to go to the gym also ... I mean the gym is only an hour out of my time and cos I love working out so much, it just seems crazy to go into town and not invest in me for one measily little hour!

So after the gym we picked Trude up and I had to rush back to Upper Hutt to pick up my mum and get to a family Christening. My little great neice - she slept through the whole ceremony bless her, and woke up at the end of it to have her photo taken LOL.

Then Mum and I caught up with my sister and we went to Short Straw Cafe over in Whitemans Valley - it was a gorgeous day and I had a chicken salad ... it was devine and I felt very proud of myself in ordering that one LOL Especially how devine there desserts and cakes are - but I managed to distract myself with great conversation and scenery to worry about dessert.

I finally got home @ 2 and Craig rode Trude down to the CIT carpark while I followed in the car. Because I'd only ever ridden then 100cc at the Basic Handling Skills Course 4 weeks previously I wanted some time off the road to get on my bike and just have a little play without the worry of getting mowed down my impatient motorists or making a dick of myself by stalling the bike! So after playing around the carpark for an hour, Craig went home and picked up the Harley and then he followed me around to my Mums, on to my cousins house and then back home. When I got home I wanted to go out again LOL @ me, so I did just that. I was puttering down Fergy Drive when I spotted Rose on the other side of the road ... so did a U'y and pulled up along side her tooting my horn LOL the look on her face was classic. By the time I got home I was shattered - I'd managed to clock up 50kms and I was mentally stuffed. I was in bed by 9:30 on Saturday night ... party animal eh?

Sunday morning we were up nice and early, put our push bikes on the bike rack and headed up the Rimutaka Incline again. One hour up and 45 mins down this time - it was really windy and coming back down was straight into a headwind. We still had a great time. Home to do the housework (cos I was too busy playing around on Saturday) and then I got on Trude again, with Craig on the Harley in tow and we headed down to Lower Hutt to Buzz Cafe for lunch! Another chicken salad (I'm a legend in my own underpants I tell ya) and then he headed home cos he was sick of following me @ 40-50kph LOL I stopped in at a girlfriends to visit her and her wee baby boy. On my way home from there I was stopped at a round about and I managed to stall Trude, in my excitement I got her started again but forgot to change down gear and stalled her again! The wanker behind me tooted his horn and I lost my bottle - I managed to finally get sorted and take off, but that one toot of the horn put me on edge and spoilt the rest of my ride. I think after that I stalled another couple of times and decided to call it a day and went home. Up until that toot, I'd been going great guns. I have this little yellow "L" plate on my licence plate ... to indicate to other road users that I am a learner rider ... and if they were considerate road users they'd realise that hey ... I might slip up every now and again. It was young guy in a Subaru Legacy Stnwgn with a personalised plate ... I'll remember him, I hope one day I get the pleasure of bumping into him again - FUCKER.

So this weekend, I have been absolutely fantastic with my food, I dont seem to be grazing as often as I was, more sticking to my three main meals each day. Water intake is up and I've cut out starchy carbs at evening meal. I'm feeling really empowered.

Monday food:
Breakfast - Cereal, banana, yoghurt, seeds
Lunch - chicken salad sandwich, punnet of blueberries
Dinner - chicken vege stirfry
Snacks - mixed raw nuts, pear
Water - 4ltrs

You are so funny! I can just hear you yelling out "Fucker", just the sort of thing I would do too. It is such fun riding a bike eh? Quite liberating, wonder if we will feel so chuffed in the middle of winter?? Have a great day.
