Lazy Sunday Afternoon

I'm feeling quite sleepy actually. I could easily have a bit of a snooze for the arvo. This time next week I will be snoozing - for a couple of hours, in about 24 degree temperature with the sound of waves crashing in the background, cicadas screetching all in Hahei Beach WOOHOO :D

Last night was a lovely evening, catching up with friends, eating great food, having a couple of nice quiet wines. Got a txt from Karen asking what time I was thinking of going out riding this morning - I txt back ... 7:30 hehe - her reply a witty "pm?"

However, this morning I got a txt at 7:00am from the aforesaid about to be duathlete saying she was awake - so I said I'd be at her place around 7:30 and when I got there, she was awake and ready to go! We did a couple of kms and then went for a nice walk afterward - its really pretty around where she lives, lovely hills and bush - there must be some good walking tracks up around there!

I cycled home - felt pretty fatigued by the time I got back - needed FOOOOOOODDDD! So I had a shower, had my breakfast and then pottered around here a bit. Got a few loads of washing done, made a loaf of bread for lunch. Both of us checked through our camping gear and decided what we didnt need to take this year and put that back into storage. It's quite exciting now, seems a bit more real seeing all our gear out waiting to get packed in the car!

I helped Craig take the kayak off the roof rack and we put it in the drive way and had a play around with the seats that clip into it etc. Of course I had to put my life jacket on and grab and paddle and jump on ... just to test things out of course. hehe Musta looked hillarious - I'm sure we will have some fun in that thing.

So its now lunch time, my stomach is rumbling AGAIN ... now theres a surprise! I think I'll have a lazy afternoon - watch some horse racing and maybe a few bets.

No aches or pains from our quad biking yesterday LOL I keep looking at the photos and reliving the awesome fun we had! hehe

I really need to give myself a pedicure this afternoon, my feet are a mess - nail polish chipping off them etc ... ewwwwwwwwwies ... my poor feet deserve better than that - they work so hard for me!

Glad you have had a lazy Sunday afternoon - you so deserve it :)
Oh I do understand there are some nice walking tracks up in the hills so perhaps we MIGHT be able to check them out one day.
Have a good week :)

It's so great to be able to get out there and exercise with a friend, especially one who can talk as much as Karen (hehe, love ya Karen!!). It just makes the time go so much faster, and makes it feel like a social thing rather than a chore.

Hahei beach next week - lucky you - it's gorgeous there!
