crap I dont seem to be able to keep up with the weeks at the moment.
I had a reprogramme with Hamish on Thursday. He is cool I've decided - he's doing his best to kill me I'm sure of it, but at least he is cool while doing it! Got lots of arm work happening over the next six weeks - lots of free weights i.e. no machines, its all natural resistence - swiss ball, dumbells, medicine ball oh and my friend the arc trainer is back! WAHOO! Hamish was talking to me about a nutrition/weightloss plan he is developing at the moment, I've offered to be a guinea pig for him and he wants me to have a look at it and give him some of my "professional weightloss advice" LOL his philosophy is around exercise and resistence training for weightloss specifically, but his 8 week nutrition plan centres around a 4 day food rotation - I think its about not eating the same thing more than once in a 4 day period. Anyway, over the next couple of weeks I'll find out more about it. In the meantime I'll be doing my dumbell presses and russian twists like a good little Leenie and not complain about them.
Went to a Prenzels party on Thursday night ... I bought some Butter Flavoured Cooking Oil (Rice Bran). I tried it and thought hmmmmmm not sure about that, however I had a think about it and bought it for Craig really. He loves butter on his corn on the cob, roast veges or even steak and butter is not good - its saturated fat. So I thought if he used the oil instead of butter it would be better for him - fat is still fat, but at least its not artery clogging saturated fat. We'll see what happens.
Friday I gained 100gms at weigh in ... *shrug*
Friday I had a one hour body massage ... its a birthday gift from the gym ... it was bloody fabulous, I almost fell asleep!
This morning I went into town, starting at the gym with a 50 min cardio session. 20 mins on my friend the arc trainer and 30 mins on the treadmill - 2 mins hill climbing, 2 mins running, 2 mins flat walking ... I was sweating like a pig by the end of it, but geez I felt good. With less than 8 weeks until my first Tri, I thought I better start running!
After the gym I went and watched my friend Kris from work compete in the body building champs. She looked amazing. Her dedication and commitment is just incredible and she is so deserving of getting up on stage and showing her stuff. Man she has got biceps that even a WWF wrestler would be jealous of. I hope she does well at the Nationals in Auckland in a few weeks.
Got home, had lunch and then wandered up to skating for an hour or so.
Quiet night at home tonight - yippee - first one in about 6 weeks!
Drank 5 bottles of water today.

Keep us informed re the food plan from Hamish... wouldn't mind giving it a go if it works (wink wink).
Wow 5 bottles of water... wish I would drink that much.
Love CM
The plan Hamish is talking about sounds interesting so do keep us posted on how it goes once you start trialing it! :)
Yum Prenzels.... *sigh* I can only dream about that at the moment! LOL
Have a good week
You know, I can never decide what I think about butter. On the ne hand, you are right. It is the wrong type of fat and too much will cause problems. On the other hand it's much more natural than a bunch of chemicals mixed together. So I try not to have spread at all. We have a tub of half-fat anchor spreadable in the fridge for my partner and the odd occasion when I feel I need it. If I am baking, though, I also use proper butter. But that's not too often...
The training sounds fab. I'm focusing on doing classes at the moment because I got bored with my training regime. For me, mixing it up is the only way. I may get back into training next year and give the classes a rest!
It sounds like an interesting plan and you have to wonder if there is really something in varying the food. Wonder if you will get away with substituting the butter - worth a try!
