10 weeks down the track

bloody 'ell this time 10 weeks ago I was out of recovery and experiencing my first day without a roll of fat around my belly LMAO! I was saying to Craig tonight, the time in hospital seems like a lifetime ago now ... so much water under the bridge and so much has moved on in our lives ... 10 weeks seems so short and yet what can happen in 10 weeks is huge! Just goes to show, that when you plan to do something - dont put it off, because time will just fly on past us regardless. That ole saying ... dont put off tomorrow what you can do today.

Hell, 37 years has just flown past LMAO!

Well Saturday afternoon was a bit of a write off, out with mates again "practicing" for our Ozzie trip at Christmas - sheesh we are running out of practice time - only managed 3.5 hours before we had to pour ourselves into a cab home ... how the hell we are going to last 4 days together god only knows *giggles* Yep got home about 8, fell asleep in front of the telly, woke up about quarter to 10, looked at each other and decided we might as well just go to bed ... hows that for a Saturday night? LOL Sheesh

I gotta stop making up for lost time - tea totalling for 8 months is not always a good thing. I'm the classic kiwi binge drinker ... bit like my food really ... its all or nothing!

Sunday was a fun day! Weekly hospital appointment, then got home and decided to go for a ride on the Harley down to Lower Hutt and call in on some friends. It's the first time I've been on the back of the bike since the Op - could feel my abs screaming a few times - incredible how much you engage your core when riding a bike or even being pillion. Was neat though, by the time we got home the weather had really fined up and I decided to take Trude out for a spin. I absolutely LOVE riding a motorbike. It's just so bloody cool! There is a motorbike riders code ... they all nod or wave to each other LOL bit like truck drivers I spose - why dont car drivers do that to each other? Instead of road rage and giving the one finger salute! Actually its funny when you think how people interact with others of the same "species" - whether its riding a motorbike, pushbike, truck, caravaners - its like a common bond that makes people be friendly to each other - quite cute really LOL

Today was a pretty full on day, getting ready for a trip to Auckland this week where I am giving a few presentations and doing some training. Anyone on the North Shore wanna catch up for lunch on Wednesday?

I got home, it was windy as hell and I almost ALMOST flagged a walk, but then thought how bloody lazy was I and got changed and MADE MYSELF go out for an hour. Blimin glad I did - it felt great striding it out listening to my music and bouncing along. At one point I was into a head wind and I thought I was going to get blown backwards, musta looked funny me hunched over and walking head down into the wind - guess us Wellingtonians are used to that though LOL I realised how easy it would be to neglect myself by talking myself into and outof exercise.

Ha, in my case I want to do the exercise, but I don't have the stamina anymore! I can't wait till my iron levels pick up for sure. Good on you for 'forcing' yourself to get out there, it's much easier once you are actually doing it eh?

YAY for practising drinking before you go away - practise makes perfect.

Time goes by so fast. I'm glad you're such a good healer. Don't heal too fast or Craig will be out buying the house paint.

Lol, I think you may need a bit more practice if you're only lasting till 8. Practice does make perfect.

Hope this week is much better for you and you don't end up so buggared.
