Crikey ... I think this is the longest I've been missing in action!
The last three weeks have been completely stupid - loads of fun, but completely crazy!
My first week away was AKL for 4 days - I did some neat stuff like a step and handweights class, a martial arts/boxing class, pilates! (that was harder than I thought) and lots of walking - my food was also very well contained considering I was out of routine.
My second week away was in Hamilton for the whole week - that was a drama in itself just getting there! Bloody 'ell. We (myself and four colleagues) were scheduled on the 8:30am flight, we didnt leave until 9:40 due to fog at Hamilton and then when we got to Hamilton we circulated the city for 30 minutes but it was still too foggy to land so we turned around and flew home! Now anyone who has flown Wgtn->Ham and vice versa will know it has to be one of the most longest hours in your life - its got something to do with no scenery and a smaller plane which seems to take forEVER to get there! LOL However, once we finally got there all was well - although we did lose a day of work, so the rest of the time was pretty full on. I managed to crik my neck picking up my luggage and had to postpone my kickboxing session with CM but when we did finally catch up on the Tuesday night. It was just bloody fantastic! She picked me up on her way home from work, we went to her WW meeting and then I had dinner with her family. Her boys are so lovely they, just down to earth well balanced little gentleman - really neat to be part of. Her hubby is so adoring of CM, its just awesome to see so much love and respect in a couple. CM's mum is soooooooooooooooo farkin hillarious (I dont think she realises it) nonstop chatter chatter chatter - what a neat environment to be part of. On the Wednesday after work they picked me up and took me to their local gym and I did a kickboxing class - it was really cool! There was one part where the instructor had us on our hands and knees on teh floor and worked our backsides off ... literally - it was bloody fantastic, I sweat bucketloads! I went for sauna on Thursday morning and a nice long walk - bridge to third bridge on the Friday morning - I had subway salad for lunches every day and I am now the Chicken Salad conisseur of Hamilton LOL
Thanks CM, Hubby and family ... it was so lovely to be part of your day! CM by the way you are looking so fab, so alive and so happy - dont you EVER every give up on yourself or downplay what you have achieved!
I was so looking forward to getting home after being away for two weeks - got home on the Friday night and basically went to the club for a quick drink and then crashed! It took me a few days just to get back to the land of the living I just kept wanting to go to sleep. I also had to catch up with a TONNE of work and then my brother and his wife turned up the following Thursday for their NZ stay. We had an awesome time with them, lots of family time, loads of food (which I managed to mostly behave myself with) and lots of laughs.
Went and saw Hamish last Friday at our other gym, got on the scales and it showed a nice 1.5kg loss - was very excited about that! I did some new exercises with him, I'd also been out walking that day so I managed to clock up two hours worth of exercise! This week I've been to the gym every day so far - I'm doing extra cardio also - walking Jack after work.
I was expecting good things at weigh in today - however, I got a very false scale reading at the other gym and in two weeks all I've managed to lose is 800gms which disappoints me. I have been working really hard and my food has been 95% good. Hamish and I had a good chat today about the whole losing thing, I've been out of routine and my gym programme needed refreshing so today we spent my PT session doing a new programme. It's awesome - quite a good mix up of new things.
I have really noticed a change in my butt and thighs. My clothes are definately fitting much better and I really do feel no fire. I've had quite a few people comment to me over the last few days that I appear to be looking slimmer and funnily enough I feel taller - isnt that freaky. I actually feel taller and because I feel good about myself I seem to be holding myself taller and straighter and why shouldnt I ... cos I am farkin hot after all *pokes tongue* LMAO
So thats me, I'm back, more focussed than ever ... in fact I had my PT session this morning and tonight I am going to aqua. I went to aqua last week too and I really enjoyed it this time. Instead of doing lots of running up and down the pool we did a fantastic circuit class which was a good change of pace - not ultra challenging, but a great way to mix up my routine.
When I was running on the treadmill yesteday I kept thinking to myself, I cant wait until after my op when I'll be able to exercise without everything jumping, flopping and wobbling around. I'll be able to exercise normally without wondering if my belly is going to fall out of my knickers. I cant wait for that - 14 weeks to go.

Oh my god, only 14 weeks!!!! I missed you while you were away, great to hear you had a fantastic time. I love Mandy (chubby mum) too, such a neat lady. You are looking bloody fantastic BTW !
You amaze me! Nothing is going to get in your way, you are so positive and full of fun while achieving all you aim for. Great to lose weight when you have been away and out of routine. You are really on fire and yep you are worth it!!! 14 weeks - not long to go at all!
Ohhhh we're down to a weekly countdown now, how exciting (soon it will be days!).
1.5kgs did sound better but 800g is more than half so that's fantastic!
How much more do you want to lose before the op? You must be really close now.
Hope you enjoyed aqua, I am going to go to my usual tues night one (same time) because I reckon my back will be honky dory by then.
You are the only person I know that loses weight while away and out of her routine! Good work woman.
Sounds like you are on fire girlfriend!! Fantastic to read! YAY!!! :)
